M.f.a. Co

I recently purchased a single cavity steel mold and stamped on the spru is M.F.A. CO. 38-255. When doing some research on this mold I saw some where that the M.F.A. stands for Marlin Fire Arms is that correct? Thanks Bob

That is correct. Marlin owned the Ideal Manufacturing Co. for a short time just before WWI, and produced their products under the Marlin name.
