Has anyone ever reproduced the H & G #333? It makes a small .357/.38 slug that is stacked for multiple projectiles. Looks kind of promising/interesting to me.

What do you folks think?

Pretty close but a bit on the big side. The orginal #333 only weighed 62 grains.

Someone linked to something similar but not a true #333. I have been unable to find anything searching for "333". I wonder if there would be any interest in a true H & G #333.

Don't know about that mold but we ( handgunners ) did a lot of experimentation with these loads back in the '60s. I am sure it is still going on, curiosity never dies.

These loads are not especially effective.

If you want to try them on the cheap and easy, go to your supplier and buy a small bag of 000 ( Triple-Naught) buckshot. ( 0.360 diameter.)

Some people say it is not necessary, but I always loaded a single gas check at the case mouth, upside down, and put a small crimp to keep it in place. These also make passable low power short range plinking loads. Or bunny in the flower bed at 10 feet at midnight while your neighbor is still awake loads.

If you want to go further, then spend your money on a mold.

If you are looking for self defense, get a 150 to 180 grain hollow point.
If you want multiple hits, get yourself a sawed off two-row.

Bullets with extremely poor sectional density like these disks will penetrate only a
surprisingly shallow distance. This is why these sort of multi projectile loads die out
pretty quickly every time they pop up. Have some fun with them, they are an interesting
concept, but unfortunately, the laws of physics are running hard against you unless
you are only intending to wound and not kill.
