I found a nice cheap cleaning rod guide for my 44..It's a brass pipe to hose adapter so it won't do any harm to the pistol steel. It just fits in the muzzle and my cleaning rod fits in the hole. You could easily cut some of the hose fitting off it if needed and it would still work as a rod guide.
Too lazy to take pics of it tonight, maybe tomorrow.
I used it to do the final buffing stage after I fire lapped it. I had a few very light chatter/ machine marks near the chamber end of the barrel, now they are gone. Yep it was a SRH
That rod guide made it possible for me to put a nice shine back inside the barrel again. It took a good 50 strokes with the final stage to make it shine. Now I just have to shoot it.
