I have an 8 lbs keg of this stuff and have no load data save whats printed on the can. does anyone remember what SRB-118 was closest to? For some reason Bl-c2 sticks in my mind but I dont trust my memory.

Appears to be very close to H380 specs. Use starting loads in the books, with an older copy of Speer data. It is preferred because it is most conservative. ... felix

Wiljen; looks like a slow lot of 2520, and close to BL-C2, work up

I'll add to the data...based on what I find in my log..that 43 gn. load using a 175 hpbt looks like the same load I use for my lot of WC-846 ( loads like BallC-2) and a Horn. 180 SST. One ragged hole precision @ 100 yds. from an out-of-the-box Rem 700.
Hope this helps...
Cheers,
Don

Thanks for the help. I believe my original intent was M1 Garand loads for this stuff and it seems like thats within the burn rate spectrum for it.

They say that memory is the second thing to go, does anybody remember what they said was first, I seem to have forgotten?

Again, many thanks.

Howdy, I went trough 16 pounds of the stuff. Not a bad powder. On my batch, I would guess the burn rate close to H335, BL-2, 3031. A max charge would fill a .223 case with no pressure signs in my rifle. In the 30=06 it WAS possible to reach max pressure before filling the case. Used it in the 223, 30-30, 30-06 and the 35 Whelen . Accuracy was excellent in the 30-30 with a 180 grain RCBS flat nose (around 28 grains powder).
