I think it is a " cousin " to the old Herter's Press.

They are " Hell Bend " for strong.

Most likely parts would interchange with a Herters. Herter's sold that press in the late 60's.

4306,

Send Pressman a PM. I would bet he has info on the press in the Antique Reloading Tool Collectors archive.

When I started loading cartridge ammo in 1961, I had R.F. Wells and Herters dies and presses.
I think the shellholders were screw-in rather than snap-in.

that was my first Press.
I also have other Wells equipment.
He Made equipment for Herters till He and ole George had a falling out.
the Wells started selling them himself.
I have some shell holders for it that I'd consider selling...there are two types, I have some of both. Some are threaded and some are sloted...both are different than current shell holders.
here is a photo of some of the threaded ones I have, just a bottom view, we all know what the top view looks like.

I have a shell holder adapter from Vega Tool that allows the use of standard shellholders. It is visible mounted on the press. This press is only used for decapping, though the spent primers have a tendency to fall (and wedge) in the handle linkage.

Check the RCBS Catalog, they may sell a replacement ram that uses standard shell holders. I bought one for an older Pacific press and have been very happy.

JonB the long threads are Herter's, the short threads are Wells.
Wells rams are replacable, RCBS has replacements. It is the same as the original Pacific ram only threaded.
