I am starting to cast for my Gold Cup. The first thing I did was to slug the barrel and the slug came out .451. I picked up a .452 sizing die and my boolits are coming out .453. Is .002 big enough to cause and leading or other problems. I have loaded a few rounds and they camber fine.

While I am on this subject of over size boolits what are some of your experiences with autos and revolvers?

Thanks Tim

As long as the cartridges loaded with the .453" boolits will chamber easily, you should be fine. Cartridge fit in the chamber is the usual limiting factor with oversize boolits.

This can depend on your barrels throat. In my experience if you have little or no throat you may experience some leading in the beginning of the barrel with oversize bullets. BD
