OK, I have had this mold for ever. It is getting worn out. I want to get something better. This is a single cavity. I want something at least a 4 cavity. This shoots really well in my 45. I see Lee does not offer this bullet anymore. It is a flat base. I want to stay with a flat base.

I really want one of MiHah's #68 molds, or his 200gr HP. But $ is a little tight right now. I am going to have to wait for a little while an I fear the GB's will be over by the time I can get $ to pay for one. Anyone have any other ideasas to what else is available? I have been watching the for sale stuff, but 45 molds don't seem to open up very often.

I forgot. I have a Lee 230gr tl 6 cavity, but I can not get it to shoot very well. It seems to like the lighter bullets.

Lyman 452460 or H&G 68 clone (both 200 gr) from MP are both excellent and accurate. H&G
is a guaranteed feeder, 460 a touch less so, but works in most guns just fine.

Also the 200 RN HP from MP is really accurate and expands well if cast soft, perfect feeder.

NOE has a 2 cavity H&G 130 clone in the vendor sponsor section for sale. I have the 5 cavity version of this mold and it is BY FAR the best casting mold I own.

If you are willing to settle for a 3-cavity mold instead of a 4-cavity as you stated in your OP then Accurate Molds(.com) could probably just about carbon copy the Lee design for you if you have a couple boolits from the Lee mold left to send him to take measurements from.

Tomme Boy: what do you think about the Lee TL 200grn SWC?

I have 2 of these and accuracy is excellent out of all my 1911's. Not to mention dropping 6 at a time is a no brainer!

Not too fond of the TL groves.

Lee shows a 200 grain SWC that looks suspiciouly like the H&G 68. And its reg lub grooves too. It comes it a 6 cav as well.

As to TL, I've used both and like the TL. Using 45/45/10, its fast and very good. lube 1000 boolits in the time it would take to lube 100 with a lubsizer. Just my .02 worth.

It's not for sale, but I have a Lee 190 SWC in a hollowpoint single cavity mold. Never got it to expand, but it does lighten it up a little.

the Lyman 452460 is very much like the lee 190 gr. hard to tell apart.

Bill has it nailed on this one. I have two 1911's. One of them is the new Ruger, and it is a bit fussier than my Smith & Wesson lightweight in feeding. I get a little nose rub with the Lyman 452460, but none with the H&G 68. In the end, they both feed well enough to be dependable.
