anyone ever use one of these?

I bought one, and WOW... is it ever JUNK!

it won't even close using the ratchet screw. it has some Very Rough, Tight spots.

I'm wondering if I should try to exchange it or just get my money back, and get a real tool!

I think this is MidwayUSA's in-house brand. I'd send it back with your comments and get
another one. If it is bad, too - I'd ask for a refund.

I bought a Starrett tubing mic some years back and it is a jewel. I use it for measuring case neck thickness.

I was living in Odessa Texas when I bought it in a pawn shop. The oil business had crashed and the local hock shops were filled with high quality machinist tools. Lot of those folks out of work at that time.

nanuk.. Beware of owning a tubing mic. You will find out just how uneven the case necks are and that will lead you down the path toward neck turning and all sorts of angst you would have avoided by not buying the tubing mic in the first place.

I bought one and now I am "stuck like a bug on bug paper" as the British like to say.
