I looked into one of those some time ago.

I'm interested in how they shoot for you.

I have the 45-325-FN RCBS mold for a number of years and they work very will in my marlin and several single shots as well.

I have been shooting this bullet in my Marlin 1895 and My Browning 1886 for over 10 years now and it shoots very accurate. I have been using 4198 powder and getting velocites in and around 2050-2100 fps. This bullet has taken several large Whitetail Deer and several Muledeer and Antelope. Most of the guys I hunt with laugh and say its to much gun for these critters, but I have never had to go looking for anything shot with either of my rifles with this load combination. When you fire the shot, the work begins. Don't be afraid to try this load combination, it will work for you anywhere, take the time to work up an accurate load for your rifle and enjoy the hunt. This is one load, especially in my 86 Browning 45-70, that I would take anywhere and hunt anything, on this contient.

I shoot the RCBS 300 FNGC as others have posted. I don't shoot a plain base design of this bullet so have no info for that version. In my Win 76s in 45-75 and 86s in 45-70 it IS the go-to bullet for trouble free casting, smooth functioning and accurate shooting.

Oh, almost forgot. My guns, and the paper targets are perfectly happy with loads and the 300 (325) GC bullet at about 1200-1400 fps. Best powders have been 5744, Rel # 7 and 4198. For the 2000 fps+, dino-slammers..... no information.
