I am not sure I am doing the right thing here, but here goes.

I recently acquired an Ideal 25727 Mold that is missing the hollow point pin.

I am considering using it as trading material.

Can anyone tell me its approximate value?

It seems to have been made before 1940 so it is the oldest mold by far in my collection.

To be clear I am not offering it for sale at this point

Greg, you're doing the right thing. 99% of the guys here are NOT sharks out to get your mold, they'll just try to help as best they can, lead you in the right direction, then demand pictures of your purty boolits when you have the solution taken care of!

Try contacting Buckshot or one of the others about making a new pin for your mould. It would be a better trader if complete, or use it yourself. I'm sure there is something in "search".

Mike, I searched before I ever posted. It appears from that search to be a rather rare mold. One "poster" mentioned he stopped bidding at $168.00. Since the easy way to determine market is to go to ebay and see what somebody is willing to pay for it, I decided to find out what a knowledgeable person might think it is worth. Also while searching on the web, I came to understand that several different "experts" have distinct ideas on the appropriate length of the hollow point pin. The original pin was %90 of the length of the bullet which the article I read said was way to long. Since this appears to be a specialists mold I was was thinking along the lines that if I were to sell it a person might want the pin made to their desire.
