I was looking for a 22 revolver on Gunbroker without seeing anything affordable that struck me and switched to the 4" CA target model 327 Federal. This one had a buy it now for a good price but no reserve and no bids with 9 minutes to go. I don't figure the owner has a straw bidder looking at this @ 9:30 Sunday night so 10 minutes later it's mine for just under $300 and shipping.
I picked it up Thurs in a snowstorm. Running around with my wife all day I hope to hit the range Sunday or Monday. The throats measure .312, the bbl .311. SA pull is good DA is long and a little stiff. we will see what time and repitition does for it.
I can't find 327 Fed ammo anywhere but have a good supply of 32 Long and 32 H&R. Weight is listed @ 26 oz, it is on a Bulldog frame and might have to make due with an Uncle Mike's Holster for a while. It is larger than a J fram and smaller than a K.
I look forward to running this from slow with a 311440 and 2 gr BE to AA9 with a 110 gr bullet. I can shoot 32 long cheaper than 22 lr so it should replace that medium in a revolver. I see no reason to feed it anything but cast unless I have to empty some factory cartridges. I'll see how it groups and get back with things.

I have a Ruger SP101 in 32 mag and a Blackhawk in 327 fed. I like 32 long in both. i have 1 box of 327 fed 115g Speers. I will never use them. i got them just in case in need a jacketed full throttle load. 32 long is like a 22 RF...Fun :Fire:

I have a CA Target patriot in 327. Bought it new two years ago. I played with it some using Federal 100 gr. JSP to get a starting supply of brass and then went to cast bullets. The Lyman 311316 sized .313 works well over a charge of A#9. CCI500 or WSP primers are all thats needed. Well made accurate gun, but the screws shoot loose, soft locktite takes care of that.
I bought mine because at the time it was the only offering with adjustable sights and was the longest barrel on the market.
It completes my 32 family of revolvers and I'm very happy with the gun and the cartridge.
Hope you like yours!!

I've got one too and use .32 longs in it. The latest Midway flier has .327 American Eagle ammo advertised for $24.69/50. Might be worth picking up a couple of boxes.

The rain let up today for a bit and I fought the mud to the range. The Lee 113fp sans gc over 7 gr 2400 shows promise. I did not have any RCBS 98 swc ready to go which is what it will see next.

I am very interested to see how this turns out. I recently entered into a 32 kick, and am looking for a 4 incher. This might be the ticket, if it shoots well.

Just got a 4in SP101 .32 MAG myself the other day. Seems to do ok for the 51 rounds I put through it so far.
