I have a bunch of 330gr swaged bullets for my 44 mag. Does anyone have any load data or for this. I can't find any in my manuals.

Cheers,

The only data I can find is for cast. I wonder how much of a pressure difference there is.

lee modern reloading second edition has 325 and 355 lead bullet data i you should be able to extrapolate a safe starting load from that

or hodgdon has 330 gr data on their site for lead

my thinking is starting data for lead is almost always below that for jacketed

example tite group for a 44mag 240 jacketed is 9gr but for lead 240 gr is 4.7 gr while max is the same 10 gr then looking at the data fo 44 special i see 4gr of tight group is sugested starting for a 240 gr lead is 4gr of tight group and 4.8 gr max so i can assume anything between max and the starting for 44 special should get my boolit out the barrel of my 44mag and be easily below preasure

if you backing off your powder enough to be safe on the preasure side and plenty to get the bullet to clear the barrel then you have a starting point to work from

looking at the 300gr hornady xtp jacketed data acurat #5 is listed as 11.7gr starting and the 355 lead data is listed at 10.3 starting for acurate #5 i would probably start with 10gr and work from there

this is my thinking on keeping on the safe side if thiis is flawed thinking in some way some one please point it out to me.

Beartooth Bullets has a load info page. It has a 330 hard cast. You might call them and ask?
