Why not use aluminum? "I know, I hate it when people do this to me on my posts"
Other members have had realy amazing results using aluminum flashing and such. Just wondered if you had heard of, or tried it.

I'm working on 338 cal this morning. Have some sample boolits here, but what's your check shank diameters running as cast?

Pat for your info
338s are the worst I have seen for varying shanks. some like the Lyman 338320will use a 32 check the Lee will shave a normal check
not to say any can work. but found the Gator to work on the 4 molds I have and they dont come off on any

Yaw- shotman I'm tweaking some numbers on it here and the samples I have are from a LEE. Normally- LEE has been notorious for running small, but with gator and hornady numbers, I can get it in the sweet spot where it will work with varying diameters.

If one mold is that far out of whack, an optional male die will take care of it. Some caliber diameters are more stubborn than others for some reason. This I don't fully understand yet but it is true.

If you need some give me a shout. Will step out back and might be able to hear you.:bigsmyl2:

Pat better late than never. Just checked the mold and uploaded some pics. I was uploading the pics when you posted the finished gas check maker. I have used Hornady checks on the BRP mold and the fit and stay on tight when you size to .334
the other boolet you have the gc on is a Lee C338-220-1R
