Feeling good

Went to the scrap yard today. Sold 44 pounds of scrap brass for 1.60 a pound. They has to wheel weight, only a little soft lead but I did get 273 pounds of mom type for .55 a pound.
I gave him a C note and the brass, got the lead and a check for 23.55 in return.

I feel good about 267 pounds of monotype for a net of 76.55. The brass was largely range pickups. I just need to find a bunch of soft lead looking to be sweetened.

btroj, nice score! I just went and picked up my first WW's. $20 for 3/4 of a pail. They said they get a pail every 2 weeks. I told him I'd provide the pail(and a dozen donuts). I figure I'll put my name and # on the pail, with a 'Call me when this is full' note.
