This is the working prototype. Just completed tonight.
All the commercially available buttstock monopods on the market that I've seen are designed to be attached to a quick-disconnect sling stud. There are none that attach to a sling bow like this one.
I believe as it is it will fit other Mausers like the Persian 98/29 8x57, 1908 Brazilian 7x57, 1909 Argentine 7.65x53, 1891 Argentine 7.65x53, possibly the Type 38 Arisaka and maybe the 1903 Springfield and M1917. It comes off and goes on in about 30 seconds.
There's going to be a knurled brass lock ring that serves as the clamping nut but the 1.5" round brass bar stock is on the way. So it will be adjustable for height.

The black piece is 1.5" delrin (acetal). The green is molybdenum impregnated nylon bearing called "nycast". I could've used brass to make this thrust washer but I have a 36" bar of this green nylon so I used it.

The wood is American ash with a 3/4" diameter x 1.25" long brass insert that's epoxied in place. Thread is 1/2-20.

All the pain-in-neck machining is on the piece of delrin. I guessed a 10 degree slope and cut it with a 1 3/8" Forstner bit. The bottom radius of the Swedish Mauser from the toe to the bottom of the stock wrist is a near perfect match for this dimension.

That's not a gap it's just where the sling swivel screws are set into the wood a little bit.
