Did they require any hand fitting? Who is the mfg?

I've often wondered why you don't see, oak, as a common grip material? As it is a very common wood, abundunt, and as I can see by your pic very good to look at. I have an oak burl drying in my shed, something to think about. Again, very nice and I have the same questions as Bomber, specifically, the MFG. Thanks
