Any thoughts, actual load tests.

Thanks in advance.

I have several clients who buy that boolit from me and use it in Glock pistols.

I dont have load data but one of them uses 231. I dont know how much.

I size the boolit at .401" and lube with 45/45/10. No one has mentioned any leading or problems with this boolit.

I did shoot my nephew's 40 Glock using this bullet but I dont recall the load data. I shoot a 1911 in 45 ACP, the recoil of the Glock did not appear excessive. The action cycled normally and the empties did like most empties from auto pistols, bounced all over the line.

IMO, you will get good results with this boolit, provided you dont go overboard, but then, thats common sense,

Power Pistol was one of the first powders we considered when comparing load data. I seem to remember we settled on AA#5 due to availability. (I had some in my powder magazine).

AA # 5 is also a choice handy for me and would consider loads for that also.
Thanks.

I have yet to try Power Pistol in any caliber.

4.7 grains of WW-231 duplicates my carry load (180 grain W-W SXT) with the Lee 175 TC pretty closely. My pistols are a CZ-75B and a Glock 23 with Storm Lake barrel. OAL is 1.135" in W-W casings.

It will be a first here also, bought the P.Pistol for 10mm loads, yet to be done, the powder seems to "dupe" the old Norma 10mm specs.
The hype is the powder excels in mid to HP auto, will see.

As far as the 23 w/ S.Lake barrel, I,m not opening that can of worms, Glocks and cast.:groner:

Thanks for input.

It works VERY well with that boolit cast from water-quenched wheel weights and sized .402" in a .4005" gun. I used published data for equivalent jacketed bullet weights from several sources and worked the load up. Very accurate and clean compared to my best loads with HS6 and Blue Dot, about the same as my best load with Longshot in just this one gun.

I'll say that the muzzle flash is spectacular, though, so no low-light or indoor shooting unless you take lots of vitamin A.

Yeah, I'm kind of reflexively heretical. :)
