Thought Id share this homemade scribe here with you guys who make gas chck's
from flat sheets of material. Has been a time saver for me cutting out those strips
of Aluminum. Got tired of marking with a pencil and came up with this little marker.
Forgot I had it in storage and finally found them. They can be cut with tin snips for
any cut desired to scribe, works on other stuff as well. Cheap and easy to use.
Mine is set to cut a few hairs over 1/2 " .

Good idea but too slow to mark each strip indivuadly. I have a 24in steel rule and mark one side of the sheet in 1/2 in increments then use a guilotine.
I get my .012 Al material in 24x36 in sheets and cut that in half first then mark along the 24in edge. This get a lot of strips quickly and neatly.

You can make really good "slim jims" from the 1.25" stuff.
