View Full Version : Lyman 45 caliber slip-on GCs
Merry Christmas everybody!
I have a HP mould for my .45-70 that has an oversized GC shank on it, and the Hornady crimp-on GCs won't fit. Does anybody have any Lyman .45 caliber slip-on GCs that they would be willing to sell?

Measure the diameter of your shanks and report back. ... felix

I chuck them up in a drill and turn them down---use a tubing between boolit and chuck jaws----Mag

452 shanks are way out of line for 45 caliber checks. Please remeasure. ... felix

Thats Freecheck territory.
Yes Felix, they are indeed .452", now you see my problem. I am seriously considering chucking this mould up in the 4-jaw chuck and opening the base up to a .458" PB.

Wow, I would. Don't know where you would be able to get anything to work unless you use Bob's suggestion.
And Merry Christmas.

Didnt hornady used to make a .45 rifle check. It may be what your looking for.
