looks good, Who's plans?

It's from a set of plans I got off of the net, from an old Outdoor Life article, and help from Robert Fletchers book "Drift Boats and River Dories"

I took her out on the lake today. she is built for running rivers, but rows well enough in frog water.

Really an amazing job! I build more cool stuff than anybody I know but you sir have humbled me. I am actually quite jealous, Building a boat has got to be the greatest feeling in the world! I almost started a project like that last summer but the funds were not there. Do you mind if I ask what it cost in materials? Did you make the oars too? Have you named her yet?
Looks like she floats like a cork, like shes proud to be on the water. I love the color of the hull mixed with the varnished woodwork. Beautiful, Beautiful.....

Do you mind if I ask what it cost in materials? About $1200.00. Fiberglass cloth and epoxy are the spendy parts.

Did you make the oars too? Yes I did, they are CVG Red Fir

Have you named her yet? Have not found the right graphic yet, but her name is "MISTRESS". My Wife made the comment to my Daughter " That boat is like another woman"

Looks like she floats like a cork, like shes proud to be on the water. Empty She draws 1 1/2" of water, with me in it its 3" , with myself and my Wife, 4"

I love the color of the hull mixed with the varnished woodwork. Beautiful, Beautiful.....

Here are a couple pictures of the build.

Looks great. Your shop is too clean, better mess it up with another project.

Beautiful craft you have built there, very envious indeed.
Definently something to be proud of there.
Great Job!

Hoe many hours do you think you have in it? Over what period of time? Very nice job. My dad and I built a 12' sailboat when I was in junior high school.

Started the End of August 2010, 95% finished DEc. 2010. I built when i had time. lots of time spent waiting for epoxy to dry, and waiting on material I had to order. Even more time spent sitting on the bench with a cold one, wondering " how do you make wood do that?"

Nicely done! Now get your fly rod out and hit the river.
