just inherited a colt SA 41 cal, too worn to get a model # but can read serial#. is there a site where i can get infor. on the net using serial #? also got a top eject US REVOLVER CO. unknown cal but has to be a 38 short or something like that. thanks

your SA will be listed under Single Action Army & Bisley Revolvers, pre war production. starting in 1873.

thank you. i went to the site GUESSER provided and if memory serves it was made in 1884, ser # 107XXX. i also have an old holster and gunbelt it was obviously carried in. will post those pics tomorrow if interested. am going to call/write the colt historian to get the letter of authenticity(?) as i did for 2 others i own. one is ser # 150XXX, polished out and hand engraved by BERNARD WOLFE in el paso in 1984. he and i had a checkered past and i still spit whenever i say his name. the other is a colt SA .41 cal as are the others that he polished and nickle plated, # 208XXX. i can post pics if interested.
