If you click on "post reply" button you will see some of them on the right. At the bottom right of that group is a "more" link to find a bunch more.

When I click on the post reply all I get are the post icons on the bottom for the thread, there is nothing on the right that I see

It's the "go advanced" button that you want to click on.

And you can hotlink your faves from elsewhere...

In the posting rules box at the bottom left of any page it should say smilies are on, click the word smilies and another internet page opens, you can copy and paste form there.

As Calamity Jake says I can open the page by clicking on smileys are on and that will work for me. But for the life of me I do not see anything about smilies or go advanced when I open the page to reply to a thread. This is all I see, what am I doing wrong??

Try holding the bottom left key (ctrl ) down while rolling your mouse wheel toward you. You may have magnified the page.

Nope--still no smilies, everything gets smaller though. Neat trick, is that changing screen resolution??

Here is what I see when I click on "reply to thread". Is this the same as everyone else?? Do you have smilies on the right as others have posted??

Try changing your editor options under the User CP.

Under "Settings & Options" (left side of screen) select "Edit Options".

Look for "Message Editor Interface" near the bottom. You should have 3 options in the pull-down box: Basic, Standard, or Enhanced.

You are probably in "Basic". I usually use "Standard", but I changed to basic for this post as a test.
