Have 18lbs chilled shot (6 and 8)I can melt it or sell it/trade.Is it worth a trade or sell for 20-1 alloy or WW?:shock:

Id sell it or tade it locally Some trap shooter will trade for something
Or a thiner for WW..

As little as you can get by with and still cast good boolits. I'd start with adding 1% solder and see how that goes.

I would venture that if you have local trap or skeet shooters there would be much better in it sold or traded. You have a "finished" product and you are wanting to convert it into "raw" product of similar usage (for shooting)? The shot should bring close to a retail price.

I'd try to trade it for wheelweights or sell it and buy WWs unless used WWs are extremely difficult to get in your area.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

You can make an alloy close to WW:
18 lbs - Chilled Shot (2% Antimony)
3 oz - 50/50 Solder
= alloy with 0.5% Tin, 2% Antimony

Or if you wanted 1% Tin:
18 lbs - Chilled Shot (2% Antimony)
6 oz - 50/50 Solder
= alloy with 1% Tin, 2% Antimony
