I found NEW Winchester brass 44 mag $29/100. How is the Win brass compared to other favorite brands. What are your favorite brands? Are they harder to find lately?
That's the only new brass I have been able to find for a while, on the shelf no shipping brass.

Winchester, followed by Federal. Remington need not apply due to past shortcomings in various calibers. I chose Winchester as first choice because of availability. Federal handhun brass is really good, unlike their 223 brass.

Starline, but never really had any significant problems with other brands, actually.

Winchester, never had a problem with it, only problem I ever had with any 44 branss was Remington, didn't want to fit in my shell holders right, after I modified the shell holder slightly that wasn't a problem either.
Have 500 starline ready to go brand new, used this brass in other rounds and like it.

IF buying new it would be Starline brass ! used! any brand that i can have aleast 250 + pieces of , i use a certian brand of brass for each load, that way i never get them mixed up , this is very helpfull when useing the same bullet for several loads , look at the headstamp and you know the load.
i use starline , federal, winchester, r&p, norma , midway , cbc, pmc in the 44 mag

Wow, I'm surprised to see so many Winchester fans. I just bought 1000 pieces, they are a pain. Sizing the new brass is so...not smooth. Simply impossible in the Dillon press, lots of elbow grease in the Rock Chucker. I suppose it could be the dies, they're Redding.
My vote would be TopBrass. That was my last batch that is still in pretty good shape. Maybe hard to get these days, that's why I switched. I wish I had gone to Starline.

If I have to buy and I have a choice starline has always been first choice in any caliber. Then winchester and pmc has been good but a little hard and brittle

If you can swing it buy 500 or even better yet a thousand from starline direct. It so much cheaper per shell ( includes shipping to boot) that it's not even funny, close to what many ask for mixed headstamp once fired brass. It top notch brass as well.

I just get on the list when they are back ordered. I've had really good luck the brass has showed up early the last 2 times they were back ordered on their .45colt brass

About 15 years ago I picked up a large pile for free - R-P, Win, & Fed in quantity and a few odds and ends of others. I simply sorted it by brand and started rotating thru it - never experienced any problems with any of it that I can recall.

If I had to buy it today I would likely choose Starline simply because of their generally low price and good reputation.
