I have a question about bullet sizing. I'm quite new to casting and am looking to buy my second mold and would like it to be the 250gr Keith for my 624 and Redhawk. Both of these guns like .431 size slugs and I notice that the RCBS mold is advertised as a 430. If I water drop the slugs what will the expansion be with straight WW alloy? I would like to use a 431 sizer.

I believe RCBS recommends a Hardball or Lyman Alloy and WW Alloy is going to cast smaller. A sizer will only make them smaller.
edit:I just remembered I didn't know when I bought my sizer, it only sizes Down. Water dropping won't affect cast size much, may reduce terminal Expansion when it hits the target.

If I may make a suggestion. There are Excellent mold makers here that are in tune and specify their mold's cast size using wheel weights.

I really like RCBS and would have Their Keith but 2 boolits at a time is just too slow.

I'll second the mold makers. BABore or BRP molds can make you up a Keith 2 cavity at the cost of a RCBS mold. He can also make you a mold up to 5 cavities and even HP your mold for you. He'll do different designs in the same mold as well. He's has excellent service and his molds are works of art with quick turn around time. Give him a shout if you have any questions about his designs he is very good with returning PM or emails.
