Last Thursday night I was trying to get in my last casting session of the season. Well just about the time I started casting acceptable boolets my Mag 20 started leaking. I pushed the “shut off rod” down with my gloved hand, leak stopped. I cast a few more and suddenly I had a steady full open stream of uncontrolled lead. No dribbles for me. I was able to get the shut off rod back in and stop the release. Then I found the problem. The nut retaining the “lever Stud” had somehow worked it’s self off, leaving no pivot point for lever. Well I shut off the power and cast some quick ingots. Fun evening yielded only 20 keeper boolets and 16 ingots.
