I could use some help to identify a Lyman manual that is missing the cover and first ten pages. I got it in a mixed lot of books. I think it is a cast manual but it does have jacketed data but all loaded ammo pictured is with a cast bullet. The back cover has the small lyman in print with loaded ammo pointed at it. It has the plastic spline, the data in the book is 172 pages then there is a 24 page lyman catalogue to finish the book. The ad inside the back cover offers 16mm color movies on reloading to be shown to your club. At page 140 there is a large fold out of lyman sights, scopes and jacketed bullets. Anyone have this one? Can you tell me what it is. I would like to know and possibly get a photo copy of the cover so I can somehow mount it. Thanks in advance. JB

JB Looks like the 41st or 42nd edition. My front cover is missing, also but it has data for 243, 6mm, and 458, so it is 1955 or newer. But no data for 264 and 338, so it is 1958 or older. The 43rd edition is definitely dated 1964. My 41 or 42 has the back cover as you describe.

JBMauser;
You have the 41st. Ed. of the Lyman Ammunition Reloading Hand Book.

I can scan it and put on a floppy but you may have to help me IE.talk me thru the instructions to Xfer it to the forum. I'm not very nimble w/the PC.

Thank you for the kind offer to scan it. please keep is simple and email the image directly to me as an attachment. Jboconnell@gmail.com

This book has a full page of data for the 30/40 krag which I already decided to tweak one of my loads after studying the data. No data for 6.5X55 Swede.. go figure. Lots on the Jap though...

thanks again. JB

JB:

Did you ever get the scan of the Lyman #41 cover? If not I have a copy I can email.

Well, I have two list members who have tried to email me a full size scan but are finding it a challenge. I did pull the image you posted here off but I will have to figure out how to scale it to size. Everyting seems to offer a new challenge. JB

JB:

Would you like me to print you a scaled glossy photographic copy and mail it to you?
