Original 6x48 thread length is .075 long.

Knurled Giblock screw tip extends into the receiver @ .125". Grind 0.130" + off the tip of Giblock Screw. The Knurled Giblock screw original thread length is .270, so don't worry if you remove a little over .150"....

We now return to our regularly scheduled program...

FWIW, when I needed to order a giblock screw for one of my Williams FP's, it was about half the thickness of a #6 (6-48) screw.

Most FP BASE screws, however, are 6-48.

I didn't measure the thread, you might be right.
