Bet about 12 to 14 grains of IMR 4227 would get you there. Alliants 2400 would work too, I shoot 12.2 grains of Accurate #9 with a 225 boolit in a schuetzen rifle and it will drive tacks at 100 yards when I do my part.

What rhbrink said. 12gr of 2400 has been working for me with the 170gr Lee RN sized .325. Running this in a Marlin 1893. Mild load and a lot of fun to plink with.

I have found that both Accurate arms 5744(15.5 gr.) and 2015(19.0 gr.) work well with 180-190 grain bullets.

I shoot a 204 gr .323" PB breach seated .060". Mine liked 14 gr. 4227 under a big pea of kapoc. Started at 12.5 and worked up 1/2 gr increases and 14 was magic. Running just shy of 1400 fps. The GC buys you a little fudge factor. I bet you might have a lot of throat in the old girl, long neck on this cartridge is a nice thing to chase docking nose. Good Luck, Be Safe. Gtek
