Finally got the mold, cast some up and went out this weekend. Mine is the round nose gas check design.
Turkish 88-05-35 (old reworked 88 Gewehr). Bore slugs .323 on the grooves. Cut down sized 30-06 LC cases.
WQWW with 5% 50/50 added, Felix lube, gas checked. Sized .325." Seated just off the lands.
Tried 3 loads. 50 gr of WC 872 with mag primer, 10 gr of Trail boss, and 11 gr of red dot. 20 rounds of each fired at 100 yards over a chronograph.

All shot about 4". The light loads required me to set the sights on 800 yards, the surplus cannon powder to 500. No leading on any, lubed all but the top 2 grooves, nice lube star at muzzle. The gas checks were probably not really needed for the trail boss loads, and perhaps not the red dot loads, but wanted to keep things consistent.
No super happy dance but quite nice for a first try. Will try some SR 4759 and IMR 4895 next week.
