I have a friend of my step-son who is interested in loading for his 7.62x54 Mosin. I told him I would help him get started but was supprised at the difficulty in finding a source of boxer primed brass. We only need about a 100 cases. Does anyone know of a reasonable priced source for this brass.

Thanks,

Bill

In my last Graf & Sons catalog, the brass is listed at $46 for their Privi brass.Robert

Grafs lists PRVI brass at $47.99/100, but it is out of stock.

What I did was buy boxes of PRVI ammo. A 20 rd box is $16.49. So 100 rds is $82.45. With brass at $48 and jacketed bullets at $23+, you can't hardly reload them for that. Once you shoot them up, then you have 100 pieces of fireformed brass to reload. I have had good success with the PRVI brass, better than Rem or Win brass IMO.

Wolf Gold is also loaded using Prvi brass by Prvi in Serbia.

I bought some Privi ammo for my 91/30 just to get the brass. The bullets measure .311'ish and my bore slugs a little better that .314. Needless to say the Privi ammo did not shoot too well but it did go bang and now I can load some boolits. I'm anxiously awaiting the NOE 316299 group buy in September.
