The wife and I arrived with junior last night about midnight. We spent some time at the hospital today, then a bit of down time so we went to the zoo. Tomorrow is go time. He has two procedures beginning at 0930 hrs. Monday morning is the big surgery. He'll be admitted all weekend.

Oh yeah, it was pouring rain the whole drive down. While clipping along Rt 17 near Andover I spotted a bear.

My family will be praying for the son. Are you @ UPMC? I've spent many nights there with the grandson.

Thanks to everyone that pointed out a lawyer was after my son. Don't worry, he's safe.

Anyways.......
James started out scheduled for a CTA today. The doctor that was to perform his cerebreal angiogram cancelled the CTA over fears of too much contrast being used. The risk being that the additional contrast used in the angiogram would lead to kidney damage/shutdown. We went straight into his angiogram which as near as we can tell was a striking success. The surgeons told us they were able to embolize all but a few arteries feeding the tumor. The rest are safer to deal with during surgery so were left intact. They monitored his brain activity during the entire procedure, the danger being that he'd become a democrat.

We just moved to a room from recovery. He'll have a CTA as an inpatient tomorrow. He may have another MRI too.
