OK, now that I have my Baby Dragoon in .31 cal, I need to get a mould for it. I measured the chambers at .320. Does anyone have a particular mould make or size they would recommend for this gun?
Most of what I've read indicated .321 is "standard" but I can't located any RB moulds in this size. I have handles for Lyman mould blocks and the rest are Lees, which come with handles. Open to suggestions....

Doesn't Lees new buckshot mould drop at .330?

This is the closest I've found. Not much of an interference fit....

That is usually used for a tight fit in a .32 small bore. You can use anything from .325 to .330 as you will usually leave a ring of lead around the ball when you seat it in the chamber.

I have an old SC Lyman .319 RB in my stuff somewhere. Lyman/Ideal made them at one time in .001" increments. The trick is to find one.

You can always take a .319" ball and a RN TP and "bump" it to the desired diameter in a sizer./beagle

Lee has a mould that is .319 . Mine drops more like 320/1. Someone could also lap it out easy enough to get an extra thousanths or two.

Before you invest in a mould that may or may not work, I'd find a shotshell with OO or O buck. The standard size for OO is .33, single O is supposed to be .32. Back in the 60's we played with a original Colt Navy and used OO buck with great success. Those soft balls chambered easily ...Geo
