"Seam" on 38 H & G WC?

My H & G # 50 has a very noticible seam . The mold closes fine. ( No light passes thur) Is this an H & G "trade mark" ?:killingpc

Did you buy it used it sounds like the edge is worn/rolled causing the seam.
Another possibility is it is not closing completely from a lead buildup on the face of the mold.
I have had this problem with other molds.
I took some bull plate and lightly coated the face of the mold to stop any lead buildup.
Be careful to not get it into the cavities of the mold or the boolits will not fill out well.
If you do use some acetone on a Q-tip to remove from the mold cavities.
