Went to the range yesterday to try some loads with the Swede and the Bee. May be getting closer with the Swede, only 4" groups now:roll:

Have had about the same luck with the Bee. Some loads, maybe one would hit the target, others, the 5 shot group would take up all the target. About ready to send this one down the road.

Loaded up some rounds with 4227, 4759, Varget and Re7 and the NOE 55gr boolits. Had run some 25-20 cases into the Bee size die as I only had about 30 Bee cases. These I loaded with the Re7 load, 13.2gr, for probably 1800fps.

Started with the 4759 loads, top left, then Varget, center, then 4227, right. Finally shot the Re7 loads to re-form the 25-20 cases and ended up with the bottom left group.

Not too shabby considering the wind was about 15mph from about 8 o'clock. Will have to play with Re7 some more and see if I can get it even smaller

When if ever you and the bee part company I would like a shot at it.
I have lots of good trade stock and at varied times some $.
In preparation for owning a bee I bought dies and brass, 25 years ago.
Actually I had one of the Browning 65s and it was a great shooter but I wanted a scoped rifle and got a great offer on the Browning.

I will keep you in mind if I decide to let it go.

I have a #1 B in 218 Bee, love it, no complaints here, George.

I have 2 1S 218 Bees and another that I rechambered to 222 Rem., but I don't like these too much....;-)
Actually, they're one of the best No. 1's Ruger ever made. Accurate, cheap to shoot, classy as all get out and FUN.

Don't give up on it. Mine had a tendency to string vertically until I did some foreend work. Now it shoots 1" +/- at 100, depending on how well I am doing my job that day. I have been using the Ranchdog boolit. Although the Eagan samples that HarryMPope sent me did very well too. Probably better than the RD. I'm loading mine with 4198 now though. Pretty close to Re7.

Yeah, been debating on getting one of the RD moulds and just see what it can do with a lighter boolit.
