I would like to pan lube my boolits by placing them in the oven with the lube and bring the boolits up to lube melting temp then letting them cool down for better adhesion. Would this affect my heat treat hardness?

Not unless your lube doesn't melt til 450 or so. Keep the heat under 200, which the lube will appreciate, and you won't affect the hardness at all.

hard lubes get usable in the star L/S with a heater between 100 to 120 degrees , not sure of the melting temp of lube but keep it as low as possible because it will smoke alot , but im not sure of the temp it will do this at .
I would do a test outdoors first! you dont want to smoke up the wifes kitchen ! you wont get a kitchen pass for a long time !
