1st#00 LEE Buckshot victim

Just on sun set a black blur run in front of me. I didn't aim, just had time to point. Down he went one shot. Looks small in the pic, too dark to take a photo, so this is the best I could do. He's about 80kgs live weight.

I had a lot of lino on hand but not much pure, so it's about 90% lino 10% pure. For the bigger pigs I think you need harder lead cause if there is a lot of mud on it~it works better to penetrate through it. I go about 600 miles west to chase these pigs. I must be cazy cause I work on a cattle station (ranch) where there are more pigs feral running around. Good for a break away I guess. I did a test while I was there on a old hot water tank. The LEE 7/8oz slug would pass through no trouble at all. 9 pallets#00 buck didn't make the first layer? and it was traveling at 1400fps. .357mag went through the first layer and the 30/30 with the 170gr Lee @ 1990fps went throught the first and bulged the last. All at 15 yards. Only got five pigs this trip which is very poor. I left at 5.30am ~ still dark and I ran into a mob 12+ even ran one over. Maybee I didn't look to hard.
