I finally found a use for a Lyman round ball mold, the handle screw heads are .250" and fit the Ideal 280468 perfectly. I tried using a set of Lee single cavity mold handles - no holy joy. The mold halves are free to swing to any angle, since the mold jaws are so short, so the halves may be at such an angle that they will not mate together.
BUT... I had machined the jaws of a Lee 6 cavity handle down for use with an RCBS mold (replaced with RCBS handles), and that set of Lee handles fit the SC Ideal mold perfectly. Looks a bit odd, but the mold locks up tight.
