Thunderbird T-2202 and T-2208 powder

Greetings.. Picked up some T-2202 and T-2208 while buying out a lot of reloading supplies from someone. Is this stuff still useful for anything, or worth anything?

Contact Thunderbird the supplied load data for all their powders.

2202 was roughly equal to H335 (probably the same thing as Wcc844)
2208 was roughly equal to Bl-c2 (probably the same thing as Wcc846)

Having said that , start 10% below starting charges of the listed canister powders and work up and you should be fine.

Thanks for the info.. I'm not loading rifle currently, but sounds like it would work for 223. I also emailed the company for load data, but if following H335 and BL-C2 data works (reducing 10%) then sounds like this stuff still has some useful value.

You CAN't ship it legally, you have no license to ship a hazmat. You are a few miles if that from where it originates, Laveen. The burbs

I have an 8 pound bleach bottle looking container of T322 .Im wondering if this is also made by that Thunderbird company ?It did come from Arizona but only says TCCI on it .Any idea what this powder is compared to ? Arnie

Arnie, all i can add is that Thunderbird supplied a powder listed as 8208 that was equiv to a H322 lot that was prized by benchrest shooters for awhile. This was some years ago. This was a powder of legend among BR clan.

Is your jug labeled 8208 or T322?

I have used T2208 and T2202 and 8208 and all were excellent powders especially for the price back then.....around $78 for a 8lb jug.

The current IMR 8208 was developed initially because of the persistent requests from the benchrest shooting community.(When they like something they want to stay with it.)
The current IMR 8208 is not the same 8208 that Thunderbird supplied. Data is not interchangeable.

C L ,it says T322 and has TCCI p. o. box. 302 Phoenix, Arizona 85001 . If i rememebr right ,i was shooting a 222 and a 22 250 at the time i got this powder .Bought it from the guy that ran the range .Maybe 25 to 30 years ago .Arnie

I emailed Thunderbird to inquire about this T322 . We have a big benchrest group at our range . www.sacvalley.org I will have to take it there and show a few of them and see if theres any interest in it . IM shooting 6.5 swedes and 7.5 swiss and Garands so im sure its not somehting i can use any more . Arnie

both of these powders a still shot, and hoarded by those in the bench rest game. Many matches shot and won with these powders. I still look for it everywhere, and just found some on line and bought all I could. the 8208 is now being replicated by Hodgdon, but I don not know how well it shoots, although many guys are shooting it along with 322 and 133 vit. T8208 is still my winning powder and I hoard it.

Used to shoot alot of the T8208 in a 7mm TCU in handgun silhouette. Good stuff
