Use of Rustoleum Rust remover for blue

Not a gunsmith but used Rustoleum Rust remover for Llama mil 9mm. I bought the RRR instead of Birchwood Casy. Works great and i like the gel over a liquid.Cost less and has shop uses.

A weak solution of Muratic acid works just as well, and it's a lot cheaper.

The active ingredient is most probably phosphoric acid the same ingredient in soft drinks and a host of other rust removers like naval jelly. Vinegar may work also.

I never used RRR but when I had my shop I used ALOT of Naval Jelly. Cost was inclusive of the bluing job.
