I have a wierd mould marked Lyman 356402 but it casts a 45 cal bullet that weighs at 262 grain , Is this a normal screw up or a case of someone opening up a mould

356402 is a boolit commonly used in 9mm pistols. It is a 124 gr. truncated cone design, which is copied by several other mould makers. Assuming you bought your mystery mould used, it could be mismarked or possibly somebody used the Lyman blocks to make a .45 cal. mould. Can you post a picture of the mould and a boolit cast in it?
