Thats awesome, what a gift eh.

My dad has a BHP they are pretty nice handguns, even though they are in that little 9mm caliber.

I have one of those, certainly not as nice as that one, though! I shot some reloads that came with the gun (bought from an old High School friend). WAY too hot!! Ended up with a small separation in the barrel and/or chamber area, which did put the fear of G-d into me about unknown reloads!

Ended up putting a Bar-Sto in it and eventually loaning it to my Son. About the only time I see it now is when we go out onto the desert and shoot the dueling tree. I had some trigger work done in Orange, CA several years ago. I'm not a big fan of the 9mm cartridge, but that pistol sure does work NICE!!

I'll just bet you are really going to enjoy it, even if is a little undersized.[smilie=1: :bigsmyl2:

Very nice Mke1. It will be a shooter for sure. Enjoy. Remember a head with a 9MM round in it doesn't function any better than a head with a .45 acp hole in it.

Take Care

Darn good Christmas gift. I has one back in the 60s. Loaded with swastikas. That one went away and is probably in some collector's cabinet where it should be. I messed with the sterile BHPs in VN in 1968 but never could seperate the SF guys from one.

Last year, I bought a new one and have put about 5K of cast through it this summer. It's a sweetheart and handles most of the Lyman 9mm bullet designs really well and 9mm brass is sooo plentiful.

The 358480, 356402 and 358242 (125 grain version) are all good feeders and shooters at around 1,000 FPS.

I hope you like yours as well as I like mine./beagle
