357maximum had a small thread on the Hybrid 100V for the 35 Whelen but it did not go far lol.

I am going to load the BRP 360-220 GC in the 35 Whelen and was looking for top accurate loads out of it.

There was some good info on the H-4350 and H-414 but not much on the Hybrid 100 V.

Any help on cast powders for the 35 Whelen would be great as I would rather purchase in an 8 pound jug due to shipping and stay with that powder.

I only plan to hunt with the 35 Whelen not Plink lol. :)

What velocity are you trying to attain?

357maximum informed me of a good load to take that Boolit to 2500-2600 FPS with H-4350. I was just wondering if the Hybrid100V would work just as well. As they do advertise that the Hybrid100V flows much better due to the very small stick size.

I will also be loading the 358 Winchester I hope near the time of hunting season since I am just now sending off parts to the gun smith for the build.

The action will be from a Short Action Stevens 200 with a 20in Shaw Mag Contour 358 Winchester Barrel 1-14 twist with all metal parts Duracoated Titanium Silver in a BOYD's FT Thumb Hole stock. The stock will be a bit wild lol. It is called Harvest. :)

I have used Hybrid100V in several calibers. .243 (Jacketed), and with cast in 7.65X53, 30/06, 35Whelen.

It is a great powder and can be treated like an unknown but slightly slower lot of H4350 that simply meters better.

I bought an 8lber of it and it is almost gone. With the BRP360-220 my 1/14 twist 98Mauser/Whelen likes 52 to 54+ grains from the work I have done so far. I have alot more chronograph data to get but judging from the way it smacks my 9inch plate at 400 yards it will kill anything that walks on this continent.

With everything else being right Hybrid100V will drive a BRP 360-220 well into the 2400fps+ zone with + or - 1.5 MOA hunting accuracy just like H4350 or H414 will do.

Is Hybrid100V a miracle powder? NO, but it is a good metering option that does not heat a barrel as fast as WW760/H414 tends to.

357Maximum would you pick the Hybrid100V over the other powders for accuracy and FPS over the others in the 35 Whelen? I do not load in volume so it is ok to trickle the powder and measure each charge.

And Michael I know the Stock for the .358 build is a bit too busy for your taste lol. But I thought it would stand out just a weeeeeeee bit lol.
