OK. Here's a few prototypes I made using brass tubing to make a 150gr JHP for subsonic 9mm loads.

I'll make about 50 of these for testing out of my Glock 19.

Ammosmith:
Pretty nice looking bullets..............a lot better looking than the .224's you made from the 7/32" tubing. But, with some more tinkering, I'm sure you'll figure those .224's out.
Try dropping a gas check into your jacket and then seat the core. It'll seal the bottom of the bullet real nice.
Keep up the good work!

I've done the gas check before...real nice I also did it at both ends to make an encapsulated bullet.

Ammosmith,
Any chance of a video or two of your steps? I am very interested. Did you use your CH dies for these?
Thanks

Yes I did use CH4D dies. The brass tubing isn't cheap at the hobby store but for prototyping and testing its fine. Yes I will make a video and I will also be making soft points. I am working on a 230gr SP for my 9x57mm Mauser. This should be fun.

Here they are in loaded ammo configuration. I am going to use a star driver bit to make a serrated hollow point here soon.

Good stuff!
2nd pic, boolit on the left with the split, I got one like that today.
I guess annealed brass doesn't like to get belled, copper too?
Star bit sounds good, real interested in how that comes out.
I also want to make a concave punch to close the nose in, "funds challenged",
or maybe just too cheap to buy the notch die.

Any results from test firing?

Have not test fired them yet. I have been being victimized by my dentist. I'll test them soon though.
