Three choices.

1. hang it on the wall and admire it.
2. Sell it as it would bring a fairly healthy price
3. shoot the H--l out of it as it is a very good caliber.

mine has been an exercise in aggravation with anything but jaxketed bullets.
i finally get a cast load to shoot well [four molds later] and i can't get the sights to adjust anywhere near the holes.
i have broken a red dot sight been through two scope mounts and two scopes.
it does seem to have less recoil then my winchester however.
mine is gettin a diet of hornady jaxketeds.

I had a pair of the Marlin's in 375 WIN . One of them I only shot jacketed and the other I only shot cast !

The jacketed bullet rifle was never tried with cast , but I can tell you the cast bullet rifle really liked the Ranch Dog 379-210GC and RD 379-235GC . Killed a deer with it shooting the Ranch Dog 379-210GC .
RD does not manufacture the 379-210GC as it was a test mold , he does however still make the 379-235GC .

One in good shape would bring $500 or so.

You can enjoy shooting it, I have several 375 - if you load 'em up they thump ya but if you load 'em down they are great plinkers - If you want to sell let us know about it.

You should immediately send it to me--that gun is no good, anyway, there's a hole in the barrel.

It is the high pressure cousin to the 38-55 Winchester that has been around for over 100 years. It has the advantage of a smaller bore that is standardized at .375" nominal vs the 38-55 Winchester that range from .376" to .381" giving you a better chance of finding a mould that will fit.

I've seen this blanket statement before. One must not assume what is percieved as factual is in fact,"fact". Case in point, I have 2 375 WCF from 2 diferent manufactures, Winchester and Ruger. The Winchester is slightly larger than the Ruger but both bores measure .377, If I recall the winchester is .0003 bigger.
In fact, when I decided to make the No.3 into a cast only shooter, I made a throat slug and found the chamber to be long enough so as I "can" and do use 38/55 brass. I size my boolits in a .378 die.
So things can be not always as they seem, and in my case, far from it. ;-)

Crash87, you are right that is why I said .375" nominal. Still a lot better then trying to find a mould that drops at .381"

I've yet to find ANY brand of rifle factory chambered in 375 W,that would not chamber the old (long) 38/55 brass..did require a deeper seat with 345 gr boolits in the Marlins than the Rugers,Savages, and win.BB's...Onceabull
