Although if you want a tactical load (ie low recoil) Red dot, green dot, 700x, Alliant Select, Alliant E3, PB, and all the rest of the target load powders..

Loading data can be found on the various powder manufacturer web sites..

I've had good luck with Red Dot but I haven't tried the others.

Blue Dot is the powder to end all powders when you want some oomph.

Bluedot is the best powder for heavy or mag loads, my upion, next HS-6 because I just bought 10 pounds, Bluedot was out of stock.HS-6 pours great, and I use it in 11/4 shot loads, slugs, and soon #00 buck shot, plus I load .45acp and some middle power roads in .357 mag, Bluedot does the same.whatever you can find.

I just cast 25lbs of 00 buck. I am trying some loads right now with 8 pellets which equates to approx a 1oz load. I am using 22 grains of unique with a BPI 18/21 wad in a Rem sts hull. I do not however recommend this load to (anyone) this is just what I am trying because I have the powder.

I am looking to go to a new powder however because there aren't any 1oz loads I have found using unique powder.

I am currently debating using WW Super Hcp it looks like it is bulky enough to take up some space and has midland pressures at its max listed loads.

If anyone has a 1 oz buckshot load what powder(s) do you use?
