I am casting a Lee 200 gr RNFP bullet out of wheel weights + 2% tin. Looking for a good load for my Ruger BH 44 SPC, 4 5/8" bbl.

Big curve is that my mold/alloy drops bullets weighing 215-217 grns!

I have tried 7.0/7.2/7.5 Unique and 5.0 Bullseye. So far the Bullseye looks like the best. Yet to try Clays ('cause I have it...). Bullet doesn't seem to care for the extra charges/extra speed of the upper Unique charges.

Anyone else have any suggested loads for this, or a similar 210-220 gr RN bullet for 44 SPC? Thanx

I run 7.7 gr. of Herco under the Lee 240 gr RN in my 4 5/8" OM Vaquero. (Boolit actually drops at 245/246 gr from my 50/50 mix of range scrap and WWs) Not overly "stout" and shoots about 2" above POA @ 25 yds.

Although i am shooting a 44 mag , and use the mag case exclusvley for my loads , ive had excellent results with the SAECO#420 a 200 gr tc bullet with the following powders
5.5 grs of Bullseye or Tightgroup @ 800 fps
7.0grs of Bullseye or Tightgroup @ 980 fps
13.0 grs of HS6 ---------------------@ 1,250 fps
These loads have proven accurate out of perhaps 5 different 44 mags !
The 5.5 load should be in the pressure level for the 44 special ?
ANOTHER MEMBER BROUGHT IT TO MY ATTENTION ! SO I CHECKED A HODGEN MANUAL THE 7.0 LOAD OF BE & TG ARE OVER MAX [14,000 CUP] FOR THE 44 SPECIAL. SORRY BOB

I use that one with 4.5 grains of Red DOt (very mild), 8 grains of 4756. or 9.7 grains of HS6. Haven't gotten around to chronoing them.
