Just went through two 5gal pals pickin out the trash and undesirables yesterday. Was quite surprised that there was very little steel or Zinc. Only got maybe 20 pieces of Zinc and same of steel. Not sure how long it will last but i keep scrounging for more. Got a line on about 300lbs of medical Isotope lead that will help.

What part of Alberta are you in? I just came back from a tire shop this morning with 60 lbs. of WW's. I smelted them down and ended up with 17 lbs. of zinc, steel and steel clips. I have to find old cars with old WW's. Glad you're having better luck with your scrap rate.

Brad925- if you wanna swap off some of that sweet isotope lead, shoot me a PM, I'm in central Ab., always looking for soft alloy for slugs. Can trade for WW ingots, indoor range lead ingots. I've got 6 3/4 full buckets of clip ons and 1/2 buckets of stick ons to smelt into ingots tomorrow.Ended up with one 5 gal and one 3 gal. full of steel/zinc after sorting. Still scrounging....

Toronto seems to be pretty good with lead to zinc WW ratio ,except for dealership I frequent-almost 30% zinc/steel in the last bucket I got from them.

Well, you still cant beat free :)
