I am buying a Meriden Firearms"Pocket Pistol" .38 S&W
Is that an antique so there need not be a FFl dealer doing the transfer.
When I get it I am going to be looking for some .38 S&W (short)
This one is old I'm not sure if I should fire it.

Give me a shout if you need some boolits.
Have the Lyman 85 grain round nose. #311249.
Also have a 96 grain rnfp but the light one may be best to keep recoil down to minimum.

Gabby, that's a 38 S+W, not a 32 S+W.

If it appears to be in good shape try some factory loads in it. You can certainly do the deal where you mount it in a vise or duct tape it to a tree and pull the trigger with a rope. Some of those guns were real dogs and some were pretty darn good shooters, try it an see.

Whereabouts in NYS are you located?

Most weapons chambered for .38 S&W have bores that slug out in the .360" - .365" range.

......If you were looking for a light bullet for an ultra-low pressure loading, the Lee mold that produces the 95 grain RN intended for the 9mm Makarov would be a great choice!
