22lr delivery.

Got a delivery of 25 pounds 22lr fired cases. Man it is going to take me forever to de rim these little buggers.

How much volume does 25 pounds of rimfire cases take up?
There are two five gallon buckets full at my gun club. I didn't lift them to try to estimate the weight and I wouldn't want to try to estimate or guess how many cases there are but it is a lot.

700 cases to a pound! Only weighed a couple cases at around 10 grains maybe a few tenths less.

I just started into a 5 gallon bucket worth of deriming.

Yeah I figure there is some rounds that I will not use and there is some dirt and stuff in there. An estimate of 16,000 is what I calculated.

How good of a quality bullet do you get from which brand of 22 cases? I am just wondering.

Currently I only swage .357 and .452, I want to start doing 308 and 223/224.

Well they all turn out to be the same quality. I will more than likely try to stick with one brand thought. I will more than likely grab 5,000 cases de rim them and see what brand I have the most of.

I have more working to do with the loads. I do think that I can get the 21.5 an moa round.

I do separate my 22 cases by brand for serious loads I set Remington cases aside as I had many failures forming them initially now that I have the procedure down that may no longer be a problem.
I was given a old set of dies with ram for a Pacific press and had to figure it out with no information. When I found this forum I learned a lot more about swaging.

I've sorted my cases for wolf headstamps since they are predominate at the ROTC indoor range on campus. I try not to stray from wolf or hop around since the cases can vary in length and give different results.

If anybody is in need of just rimfire jackets either sorted or not sorted, annealed and cleaned let me know.
